In Lincoln for a long Weekend holiday and called in for our evening meal. We were showed to our table by a young lady who’s name was Daryl, she was very curtious and polite. She explained that because we were eating before 7 o,clock any of the meals we ordered would be at a cost of £6 only and not the price in the menu. So for meals for 4 plus drinks which included a couple of pints for the boys the bill only came to £32.20p. Service was very good and the food excellent.
We will certainly be calling again when in the area.

By far the best Carvery in the county with staff that smile and have a sence of urgency ! A first for Lincoln ! Fantastic

We have visited the Stags Head on many occasions and are particularly fond of the Sunday carvery, home made spectacular Yorkshires, very generous portions of your choice of meats, carved to order, and as much veg and cauliflower cheese as you like! Gets very busy so I would advise you book in advance. A lovely clean, welcoming venue, refurbished recently, and a great place for your Sunday lunch!

After moving very close to the Stags Head we decided to try it for a Sunday treat.
We walked in with no booking (not recommended) but they managed to squeeze us in. We ordered at the bar our drinks and carvery. The range of meats was great medium and well done beef, gammon, pork, turkey and even salmon ! I had medium beef and gammon. There was no scrimping on the meat portions – and I had a regular. Then the array of freshly cooked veg and Yorkshires were incredible, constantly been topped up. The only let down for me was the stuffing ball – but I was so full from all the other lovely foods that a stuffing ball wasn’t going to spoil it. I would recommend booking as it was incredibly busy !! They do a great range of starters and desserts too so plenty for everyone !! A must for any roast dinner lover. There is also a beer garden with play equipment if your visiting with children as its a great family pub.

Finding it hard to book at a Brewers Fayre or The Gamekeeper we turned to a local pub and as The Stags Head is just around the corner we decided to try it. We were greeted there and they showed us an available table straight away. We ordered Scampi and Chips (£6), Roast Beef (£6), Steak and Ale Pie and Chips (£6) and Sausage and Mash (£3.95 Kids Meal), Bulmers Cider, Jaques Cider, 2 x Coca Cola. The food took 10 minutes to come and was perfect, we had absolutely nothing to complain about. The food was of the highest quality! The whole order came to £32, probably cheaper than the chain pubs and much MUCH higher quality. We would of paid £60 for the meals alone! Must go!

We took my mum to this pub for her 92nd birthday.

The access for the wheelchair was easy and the food was fantastic value.

We had the 10oz rump steak, which was tender and tasty and came with chips I would recommend as simply superb, with mushrooms and onions fried to perfection and a good size side salad on a separate dish.

I have no idea how they produced such a wonderful meal for the price of £9.95 – it really was that good.

I took my husband there the following Wednesday for lunch and this time I had the Ham salad with chips, which again was really superb.

A really fresh salad, with 3 slices of home cooked gammon ham and I chose the chips again, but could have had new potatoes.

We shall definately be visiting again and truly hope all local people will support this business – for good prices, fantastic food and friendly staff.

Further to a recommendation from a friend, we reserved a table for Easter Sunday lunch.

We were led to our table by the young and enthusiastic staff, who looked after our every need.

The carvery smelt lovely and after choosing our potatoes and gravy, we went back to our table. The meal was piping hot and more than enough for our appetites. Near perfection !

One slight criticism: Lamb was not on the menu but the chef said it was being served.

As for Desserts? Try the ice cream !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its superb !!

Having only been here once before, we will certainly return and encourage anyone to pay a visit.

Six of us went for Sunday Lunch on the 16th February and thought it was excellent. The amount of meat you are given is enormous that I am sure you would not be able to eat the 3 meat carvery. the potatoes and vegetables were very good, especially the roast parsnips, and nice and hot. The plates are very big and they give you a tray to carry your very loaded meal back to the table. We would definately go back.

Parked by chance nearby and went in for a meal and a pint. Both were surprised by the quality and generous portion size of the meal. Atmosphere and staff couldn’t have been better and the price of the food very reasonably priced. We will certainly be eating there again when visiting lovely Lincoln.

today we decided to visit the stags for a family sunday lunch, and we were not disappointed, we had a choice of meats, fresh potatoes, and fresh veg’s.
no one was able to find fault, the service was quick, the staff friendly, even the managers took time to stop at our table to ensure everything was ok.
the atmosphere was warm and relaxing that we felt very much at home, well done to the stags head you have made a regular out of me.
